Open Book: Robin Hood, By Edith Heal

Open Book: a quote or paragraph that catches my memory from a current book that i am reading. It is like a favorite verse.

Robin hood: Page 42
" No, good comrades. I choose to meet this fellow all alone. There is but one of him, so it is but fair that one of us alone shall meet him." Here the anxious voice of Will Stutely broke in, "But Master, suppose that the stranger be of greater size than thou art. Why, by the good St. Dunstan, 'twill do no good to try to add a fellow to the band when the doing so may subtract one."

Open Book

Open Book is something i have been wanting to do. It is where i take note of a quote or paragraph from a book that i am currently reading and am writing it down here because it has caught my listening ear and is something that i found either interesting, fun, simple, or just a paragraph from a book that i thought had some action.

Swine Flu! What Do You Think About It?

I Don't know much about it, but i know that it is dangerous. It is a scary thought though, and is a close threat. For the last couple of days it is almost always on the news and i heard it is a step away from being a pandemic. I think the idea is scary, but all we have to do is to be careful.

Obsessed

I went to see this yesterday night.
Since my older sister is here she took us and i wanted to see this movie but i was out voted for 17 Again. They wanted to see 17, but they wanted to see Obsessed more.
This movie was in my opinion good. It wasn't a killer movie (Which i am glad of) or really really creepy, but it had some parts that made it a good stalker movie and the action parts were cool. I loved Beyonce in it and i liked it.

I really liked this book and the cover is my ultimate favorite so far. The story really had a good plot and the characters were really involved.

But in the beginning we also meet a monster that has been waiting for centuries in the snow. Then we join the Doctor and Martha. The Doctor has promised her a nice relaxing holiday of sun bathing and Sugary Shiplanos, but instead of sun they get not just a little bit of snow, but a whole blizzard. That's not the only problem they have at hand. The director of Snowglobe 6 has a secret of her own and she will do what ever it takes to keep it safe. With attacks and infectious out brakes the Doctor and Martha have to join forces with a nurse and a Flisk and try to get on the monsters good side, but will it be to late.

About a book that i have not read....... Black star, Bright Dawn, By Scott O'Dell

Title: Black Star, Bright Dawn
Pages: 144
This might be for a younger audience, but i think it has a nice plot.
Plot: Most Young girls experiences never involve hunting bearded seals on the ice, even within the Alaskan Eskimo culture. Bright Dawn is an exception. In her father's eyes, she became his son's replacement ever since her brother drowned. When Bright Dawn is 18 years old, her father, recently injured, insists that she take his place in the Iditarod, the famous Alaskan dogsled race covering more than a thousand miles between Anchorage and Nome. Unflinching, yet trembling in her mukluks, she faces her challenge head-on.

Australia

I saw this movie a few months ago, but i wanted to write a review on it. This movie is soo good that any one that has not seen it, you must just simply see it. I have heard so many good reviews but only one not so fabulous one. She didn't say she hated it but it wasn't that good to her. Personally i loved it. It had everything a movie should. And it fit my sort of movies that i like, Romance War period movies. It was different and i have not seen any thing like it. The characters worked lovely together and i am very very happy with it.
If you have not seen it, i suggest you see it now!

James Bond: Quantum of Solace

I Just got to see this movie, because my younger sister wanted to see it, which is strange because she really doesn't like this sort of thing. First of all i am not an all time biggest fan of Bond Movies, but they do afford me some pleasure.

I did like it, it was a James Bond Movie, so their were action parts (Hardly a dull moment), Girls, and villains. The story was good and their were funny parts and it was entertaining. But this would only practically be for action fans, or Bond fans. I can't say i didn't think it was good.

BookS In the Mail

Yesterday i just got in the mail these four books, and i am excited to read each and every one.

1) The Ramsay Scallop, By Frances Temple : The Year is 1299. Fourteen-year-old Elenor reluctantly awaits the return of her betrothed--a young man she hardly knows-from the Crusade. Thomas, broken and disillusioned from years of fighting finds the very idea of marriage and lordship overwhelming. So when the village priest sends them on a religious pilgrimage before the marriage, both are relieved. The journey means a postponement of the dreaded nuptials, and a last chance for adventure.

2) Doctor Who: Wetworld, By Mark Michalowski: When the TARDIS makes a disastrous landing in the swamps of the planet Sunday, the Doctor has no choice but to abandon Martha and try to find help. But the tranquility of Sunday's swamps is deceptive, and even the TARDIS can't protect Martha forever. The human pioneers of Sunday have their own dangers to face: homeless and alone, they're starting to see that Sunday's wildlife isn't as harmless as it appears. The Doctor and Martha must fight to ensure that human intelligence doesn't become the greatest danger of all.

3) Primeval: Extinction Event, By Dan Abnett: When an Entelodon goes on the rampage down Oxford Street, causing untold damage and loss of life, Cutter decides a new approach to tackling the anomalies is needed. However, his investigations expose him and the team to a violent encounter with a mysterious Russian scientist and a situation more catastrophic and frightening than they've ever faced before.....
When Cutter, Abby, and Connor disappear without a trace, Lester and Jenny must use every trick in the nook to try to track them down......

4) Robin Hood, By Edith Heal: A story of Robin Hood of Locksley that Miss Heal weaved a plot out of each ballad. And brings us to meet Little John, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, Maid Marian, the evil Sheriff, Guy of Gisborne, and more extraordinary characters.

And I got a Movie.
I Can't Wait to See it!

Amanda is paired with Fiona's long-term crush Gabe. At least Fiona is doing better than her best friend, Marcie, who is paired up with the very quiet, very mysterious Johnny Mercer.

Diamond Brothers Mystery: The Greek Who Stole Christmas, By Anthony Horowitz

'Tis the season....for murder'

Rating: 4/5

Characters: 4/5

Story: 3/5

This book is pretty short, and a quick read for me. It took me two days, but that was only because i wanted it to last longer. But like the others in the series i liked it much. It was quick into getting into the story line and Nick is always cracking jokes. I just love his writing i suppose.

It starts off when Nick and his dumb witted older brother are in a slump and are barely making months rent. And as it happens some one has taken it upon himself to risk everything when hiring Tim. When he's involved nothing goes as planed. Jack Hammill the manager of one of the most popular and beautiful singer and movie star out there, Minerva. She has been getting sudden death threats and who better to hire than Tim the village idiot. But no matter what Nick has his back and is determined to keep Minerva safe.

Doctor Who: Sting Of The Zygons, By Stephen Cole

Rating: 4/5
Characters:4/5
Story: 4/5 (Loved it.)
I don't know, maybe its just me but i love the whole time travel thing, i know not everyone does and that's cool too, but i just love every Doctor Who book yet. This book got me the most on the tricks when i would think something and get convinced out of it and it ended up being correct or that i just never saw it. I have One word for it Brilliant.
At first i was not a big Martha Fan but she grew on me in the show and in the book character.

The Doctor has plans in taking Martha to Berlin, but they find themselves in England 1909. Lake side with not much to do, especially when Martha's dressed the way she is and not very excepted as a woman traveler. But as the action packs up no one has time to remember that.
