I must say that i really loved this book. The beginning really went well and we really got into our character before most of the action started off. Second i love how L.A Meyer wrote it, it was not a girl telling her story or another person telling it but Jacky telling it as most of the things were happening right then. I loved that! I don't think i have read a book that has done that. It was a great idea. And Third i never once got board of Miss Jacky Faber, which is a real pleasure for me because i need something fresh in a book and sometimes i don't get fed up with the book but with the characters because they all sound the same, So the characters were very good.

Plot: When Mary Faber has no where to turn, after the death of former gang leader and like brother, she decides to make a new start. And that start is on his Majesty's ship the HSM Dolphin, but their is a twist she Mary Faber pretends to be a he and starts by cutting her hair and changing her name to Jack "Jacky" Faber. It is the life she has always wanted and the friends she makes go a long way. All she has to do is keep pretending and the "Deception" will do its job. But as she struggles with changes and on going action on board and off can she keep this huge secret and not be put off the ship?

Next in the series

It is seriously a very good book.
