Beastly

Title: Beastly
Author: Alex Flinn
Pages: 300
Fantasy YA

Basic Rating: 4/5

Plot: 3/5 and a half

Characters: 4/5

Cover: I really liked the cover so: 3/5 and a half

My Thoughts: I am so sad that i am done with this book, but i suppose that i a good thing. I really really loved this book and i am so glad that so far i am in a streak where i really like the books that i am reading. I loved really everything about it, i liked the story line, the people, and how it was written. I loved how it was a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, i always loved the story when i was little. It had magic in it of course because that's what fairy tales and most fantasy genres have in it, but i was glad it really wasn't in the story to much, that i can't handle. It is dramatic, sweet, and funny, i laughed a lot. I thought it was funny how he goes back and forth talking about different book like the phantom ( glad he isn't a phantom lover!) and more funnily Pride and Prejudice. Loved it! I loved all the characters, I really loved Kyle and how he changes, I'd say the perfect guy even in beast form, and i loved all the strong characters like Will, Kendra, Magda, and Lindy, and i also loved all the flawed characters like Sloane, Mr. Kingsburry, Lindy's dad, and Trey. I don't normally say this but i thought the book had a really good moral, to look at the beautiful things all around you and to not let it just pass by and also not to judge someone one from their looks but judge them because of their person on the inside. And last but surely not least, I really liked the cover, at first i didn't really understand it but after reading it i really appreciate it.

And so to close my thought i can't wait until July next year, super pumped for the movie. Though i might have to read it again just before that.

Plot: Kyle Kingsburry is rich, has the best of looks, and goes to one of the most preppy high schools in New York City. But one thing he isn't is pretty on the inside, he is a beast on the inside where it counts and that's what gets him into a bad situation. A witch in his English class did put a curse on him, but can that curse turn out to be a good thing? He has two years to live as a beast before it is permanent, and the only way to turn it around is for him to find true love. Its sounds easier than it really is, can he do it? Its not like beasts walk around in plain sight in New York or anywhere else for that matter.

Its no medieval fairy tale but can this beast have a happy ending?

Thanks BOstan~

"For my part i believe that remorse is the least active of all a man's moral senses the very easiest to be deadened when wakeed, and in some never wakened at all."
